"This is a transformational moment for Emerald Cruises,” said Glen Moroney, chairman and founder of parent company Scenic Group. “From our first yachts to today’s growing fleet, our vision remains clear: to deliver curated experiences in some of the world’s most captivating destinations — both by ocean and river.”
Ocean Yachts
Following Emerald Kaia’s launch in April 2026, Emerald Raiya and Emerald Xara will join the fleet as the line’s fourth and fifth superyachts. Each 128-passenger ship will reflect its sister ships in design and amenities, with improvements based on guest feedback. The ships will offer all-suite accommodations, a Sky Deck with private cabanas and a swim-up marina platform for direct ocean access. Guests will also enjoy water toys such as paddleboards and Seabobs.
Other features will include an Elements Spa, an open-air fitness area and multiple restaurants showcasing regionally inspired cuisine.
Emerald Raiya will first set sail in June 2027, heading to the Greek Isles and Eastern Mediterranean, while Emerald Xara will debut in 2028.
"These new sailings allow us to expand the guest experience into more warm-weather seasons, offering even more ways to enjoy our incomparable superyacht product," said Ken Muskat, president of Scenic Group, USA and LATAM. "It’s a powerful extension of our boutique superyacht portfolio.”
Riverboats
Following the upcoming Emerald Astra in 2026, the line will introduce Emerald Lumi — the line’s first-ever purpose-built riverboat on the Seine — in 2027. The new vessel will sail roundtrip itineraries from Paris to destinations such as Normandy, Honfleur and Rouen. The ship will feature French-inspired cuisine and wine, local excursions, regional onboard programming and local overnights and extended stays.

We’re excited to bring our distinctive Emerald Cruises experience to France with this beautifully designed ship.”
Guests can also expect the line’s usual spacious suites and signature amenities, all across modern interiors.
Strategy
Emerald is planning on bolstering its presence in the charter and group travel market in 2027/28, especially with its super yacht offerings. To that end, select sailings will open for reservations in June 2025 for early access, with planning support for travel agents and custom group offers.
"There’s rising demand for private charters, celebrations and curated group journeys, especially on our yachts," Muskat said. "By releasing deployment details early, we’re helping our partners secure the best product for their most discerning clients."
