Mandarin Oriental Expands Exclusive Journeys
Mandarin Oriental's growing collection of Mandarin Oriental Exclusive Journeys has made its way to the United States. The program, developed in collaboration with The Luminaire (a company that crafts knowledge-based travel itineraries), offers exclusive experiences designed to deeply immerse guests in their destinations.
Led by experts, the journeys are customized to each individual client and their private party, providing access to cultural figures, local institutions and other special opportunities. Currently available at Mandarin Oriental properties in Madrid, Spain; Muscat, Oman; Paris; Milan, Italy; Geneva, Switzerland; Tokyo; and London, the collection has now made its Americas debut at Mandarin Oriental, New York.
Highlights of the program’s New York iteration include a four-day journey from Manhattan to Cape Cod, Massachusetts, featuring travel on a private seaplane and a guided photography masterclass, or an art-lover’s experience with private access to Neue Galerie and a behind-the-scenes tour at Sotheby’s or Christie’s. Photography buffs also have the chance to travel to the Hudson Valley to meet modern master Liz Nielsen, among other opportunities.
Mandarin Oriental Exclusive Journeys in other destinations range from a guided exploration of samurai culture in Tokyo to insider experiences with art preservation in Madrid and one-of-a-kind access to private Champagne cellars in Paris.

Hilton has hit a milestone with the launch of its 25th brand, Outset Collection by Hilton, a diverse set of independent hotels for clients seeking a more boutique travel experience. As of its launch, Outset has more than 60 hotels in development, with the collection’s first properties welcoming guests starting this month.
Outset properties will offer Hilton’s signature hospitality, but also individual identities and locations that guests might not expect — from small towns to adventure outposts and beyond. Confirmed hotels currently include a basecamp for exploration in Moab, Utah and a boutique hotel in Chicago.
“Independent hotels thrive when they can preserve their unique character while tapping into the power of a global hospitality leader,” said Chris Silcock, president of global brands and commercial services for Hilton. “With Outset Collection, we are offering owners the flexibility they want without compromising on quality. By combining one-of-a-kind properties with Hilton’s powerful commercial engine and commitment to exceptional product, service and technology, we’re elevating our value proposition across the board.”
