Only a select group of travelers has the time and funds to embark on a world cruise. If some of those explorers are on your client roster, knowing what world cruises are setting sail is a good idea.
Cruise lines such as Azamara, Crystal and Costa Cruises are embarking on global routes from California, and lines including Silversea have itineraries planned through 2028. Here are upcoming world cruises and extended sailings that clients might be interested in.

Azamara
Azamara will deploy Azamara Quest in 2027 on the line’s longest-ever 188-night itinerary, visiting 37 countries, 103 destinations and five continents. The trip will also include 50 late-night stays and 15 overnights. Highlights will encompass Sydney, Hong Kong, Tokyo, New York, Amsterdam and Stockholm. The cruise departs from San Francisco on January 5, 2027, and will disembark in Copenhagen, Denmark, on July 12.
Costa Cruises
Another option from California, Costa Cruises’ shorter 100-day voyage (139-day if leaving from Savona, Italy on November 26, 2026) is also set to newly embark in San Francisco, just days before on January 3, 2027. For the longer duration, the Italian line’s Costa Deliziosa will cover 29 countries, 47 destinations and five continents, including the western and eastern U.S. coastlines, Hawaii, Tahiti, Fiji, Australia, Japan and Singapore, as well as Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas. Both lengths will conclude in Savona.
Crystal
On Crystal, the luxury line will offer a 140-night 2027 world cruise that will cover 83 destinations overall from California once more. Leaving from San Diego on January 8, 2027, will be Crystal Serenity journeying south to Mexico and Central America, across to the South Pacific then Australia and New Zealand, north to Asia and back across to Alaska. The Pacific Rim route, developed in partnership with Abercrombie & Kent, will end in Vancouver, British Columbia, on May 28, 2027.
Oceania Cruises is offering a 180-day world cruise from Miami, Florida, among others.
Credit: 2025 Oceania CruisesIn 2028, Crystal will also embark on Treasures of the Tides, an epic, 150-night journey onboard Crystal Symphony. This sailing will mark the line’s most expansive world cruise ever, and the ship’s first of any length since 2018, visiting 84 total destinations across 39 countries on six continents. The itinerary will sail Jan. 11 through June 10, 2028, roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. For those seeking a slightly shorter option, there’s a sailing that will disembark early in Barcelona, Spain, on May 27.
Highlights of Treasures of the Tides will encompass first-time calls in Huahine, French Polynesia; Portland, Kangaroo Island, Albany and Geraldton in Australia; Nha Trang, Vietnam; and Mangalore, India. Along the way, there will be exclusive events and celebrations in Lima, Peru; Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and certain shore excursions will be curated in collaboration with sister company Abercrombie & Kent. Crystal chairman and brand ambassador Fernando Barroso de Oliveira will also be onboard for the duration of the sailing.
Holland America Line
In 2027, Holland America Line is planning the 129-day Grand World Voyage onboard Volendam, as well as a shorter 70-day Grand South America & Antarctica Voyage onboard Zaandam.
Sailing roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale, the Grand World Voyage will head to a total of 53 ports in 28 countries, 19 of which will be exclusive to Grand Voyages itineraries, such as Georgetown, Ascension Island, and Jamestown, St. Helena.
The Grand South America & Antarctica trip, also navigating roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale, will head to 31 ports across 13 countries with a four-day Holland America Line Antarctica Experience. Its Grand Voyages exclusives will include Robinson Crusoe Island.
Oceania Cruises
Oceania Cruises will deploy its second to newest ship, Vista, on a literary 180-day “Around the World” cruise starting on January 6, 2027, along the opposite coast in Miami, Florida. In total, the voyage will touch on over 100 ports in 46 countries and six continents, finishing in London. The line is also offering a longer 244-day Epic Global Adventure from Miami to New York or a shorter 127-day Continental Explorer from Miami to Doha, Qatar.
Silversea’s Silver Shadow will sail a 132-day world cruise in 2028.

In 2027, Princess Cruises’ 129-day World Cruise Grand Circle Pacific Voyage onboard Coral Princess will visit 61 destinations across 20 countries and three continents. Embarkation and disembarkation options are as follows: all 129 days from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles, starting on Jan. 6, 2027; a 114-day roundtrip from Los Angeles on Jan. 21, 2027; or a 110-day variant from Los Angeles to Vancouver, British Columbia, also on Jan. 21, 2027.
Even shorter segments, lasting from four to 68 days, are available from Hong Kong, Honolulu, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo, Vancouver and Auckland, New Zealand.
The World Cruise Grand Circle Pacific Voyage will showcase 23 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as the Great Barrier Reef and Sydney Opera House in Australia, Ha Long Bay in Vietnam and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Regions and points of interest visited will extend to the Panama Canal, the South Pacific, Australia and New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Japan and Alaska.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Regent Seven Seas Cruises will offer a 133-night 2028 World Cruise and several 2027-2028 Grand Voyages. Convenient for those along the West Coast, Seven Seas Splendor will embark on its Legends of the Pacific world cruise from Los Angeles to San Francisco beginning Jan. 5, 2028. Highlighted regions will include Hawaii, the South Pacific, Australia and New Zealand, Asia and Alaska, not to mention 33 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and six overnight stays along the way.
Highlights of the Legends of the Pacific cruise will include Australia.
Credit: 2025 Regent Seven Seas CruisesAdditionally, five 61- to 92-night Grand Voyages are on the calendar, with Seven Seas Mariner alone covering a trio of options: the Grand Arctic Expedition, sailing from New York on April 29, 2027; the Grand Mediterranean Odyssey, sailing from London on July 30, 2027; and the Grand Southern Seas Sojourn, sailing from Sydney on Feb. 19, 2028.
Seven Seas Voyager will host the Grand South America Mosaic itinerary from Miami on Jan. 13, 2028, and Seven Seas Explorer will take on the Grand Asia Escape trip from Hong Kong on Jan. 5, 2028.
The Grand Arctic Expedition and the Grand Mediterranean Odyssey sailings can be combined into a 174-night Grand European Discovery package.
Silversea
Looking even farther out to 2028 for its 132-day world cruise is Silversea, which will send Silver Shadow to 58 destinations in 29 countries while featuring 17 overnights. The ship will also embark in Miami on January 5, 2028, before concluding in Nice, France on May 16. Divided into thematic “chapters,” the journey will tell the story of the tropics, rainforests, fire and ice, traditions, time, nature, spice and silk, ancient lands and empires.
Viking
Last but not least, Viking is offering numerous world cruises. The seagoing Viking Sky will embark from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on December 22, 2026, and disembark in Stockholm on June 10, 2027, after a complete 170-day world cruise to half a dozen continents. A trio of shorter alternatives include a 153-day one from Los Angeles to Stockholm, a 142-day one from Fort Lauderdale to London, or a 125-day one from Los Angeles to London.
