Windstar Cruises is one of the few lines that operates in the Mediterranean in the winter season, and it is capitalizing on the growing demand for off-peak Europe travel with the reveal of its 2025-2026 winter sailings in the region.

The small-ship line will offer six unique Mediterranean itineraries from November 2025 through March 2026, as well as six extended "Star Collectors" combination cruises for more in-depth exploration. Departure ports include Athens, Barcelona, Malaga (Spain), Rome and Venice.

Itinerary highlights include a new port call in Genoa, Italy, with visits to the city's renowned maritime museum, aquarium and palaces. The program also features overnight stays in destinations including Dubrovnik, Croatia; Venice; Nice, France; Barcelona; Malaga; and Livorno (Florence), Italy.

"Winter in the Mediterranean is a fantastic time to see a different side of this magical region, get to know the locals and celebrate special holidays," said Christopher Prelog, president of Windstar. "Sailing year-round in the Mediterranean has been very successful for Windstar, so much so that we are now expanding our winter offerings due to its popularity."

Prelog noted the winter season offers great value on airfare to Europe, as well.

The winter cruises, sailing on Windstar's 312-guest Star Legend, will visit ports such as Valencia, Spain; and Crotone and Catania, Italy, which the line does not call on during summer months.

An Early Booking Offer, valid through Oct. 31, 2025, provides a $200 onboard credit per stateroom, plus a complimentary upgrade to all-inclusive fares covering Wi-Fi, gratuities and unlimited beverages.

Winter Mediterranean group bookings are eligible for Windstar's Star Group Sailings incentives, including one free berth for every seven sold, a 10% group discount, shipboard credits and increased travel advisor commission.

In addition to 14- to 24-day Star Collectors offerings, Windstar’s 2025-2026 winter Mediterranean itineraries include:

- Eight-day Myths & Marvels of the Aegean
- Eight-day A Piece of Greece, a Slice of Sicily & the Corinth Canal
- Seven-day Southern Spain Winter Escapes
- Seven-day Europe Winter Riviera
- Eight-day Winter in Italy & the Dalmatian Coast
- Eight-day Winter in Italy & the Adriatic
