Viva Cruises will expand its Viva Boutique collection with the debut of the new Viva Unique river cruise on Italy’s Po River and Venetian Lagoon in May 2027. The vessel will follow the launch of Viva Beyond in 2026.
“Italy has always held a special place in my heart,” said Andrea Kruse, CEO of Viva Cruises. “With Viva Unique, we’re not just launching a ship — we’re creating a floating experience that celebrates the soul of Italian culture, cuisine and craftsmanship. It’s about offering our guests something truly personal, immersive and unforgettable.”

Private Accommodations
Exact measurements and passenger capacity have yet to be disclosed, but the ship’s Unique Suites will measure up to 323 square feet. Similar to its sister ship Viva Beyond, suites will account for more than half of its private accommodations.
Guests will receive all-inclusive amenities including full board, high tea, a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, a minibar, beauty products, Wi-Fi access and all tips and gratuities.
Additional perks vary by cabin category. All passengers will receive a Viva Boutique gift and a themed excursion, while Twin Cabin and Junior Suite guests will enjoy complimentary laundry service. Suite guests will be offered priority embarkation, an aperitif and airport transfers from Venice.
Unique Suite guests will enjoy even more inclusions: in-suite breakfast, seasonal culinary treats, priority dining reservations, a special Unique Suite experience and an aperitif with the captain and hotel manager.
Public Spaces
Viva Unique “is designed to blend contemporary aesthetics with the charm and spirit of Italian Dolce Vita, offering guests a refined and immersive experience,” according to the line.
The ship will feature three dining venues: Riverside, the main restaurant for global cuisine and regional specialties; Moments, a fine Italian-inspired venue featuring seasonal ingredients; and a Trattoria, for relaxed Mediterranean fare.
Other onboard venues will include a wellness center, a fitness room and an expansive sun deck with a pool.
Itineraries
Planned themed itineraries will focus on local cuisine, art, culture and lifestyle, while showcasing off-the-beaten-path ports such as the lagoon islands of Mazzorbo and Burano, historic Chioggia and the countryside outside Polesella.
Optional tours will head to Murano, Torcello, Verona and Bologna. Guests will also enjoy ample time in Venice, along with access to Cremona and Mantua.
Bookings for Viva Unique’s 2027 voyages are currently open to travel advisors.
