With more than 9,000 hotels across 30 brands, Marriott is a tried-and-true hotel brand that most clients are already very familiar with. Now, Marriott is expanding its luxury portfolio in the Caribbean and Latin America (CALA), providing travelers with new reasons to visit Puerto Rico, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and island destinations across the Caribbean.
"We’ve experienced outstanding momentum across our CALA portfolio this year, highlighting the region’s contribution to our continued growth,” said Martin Castaño, regional vice president of sales and distribution for CALA at Marriott International. “Marriott’s resorts in the Caribbean and Latin America deliver authentic, locally inspired experiences across all traveler segments, all enhanced by the Marriott Bonvoy platform — empowering members to elevate every stay with exclusive benefits and immersive local discovery."
In the first quarter of 2025 alone, Marriott opened six luxury properties in the Caribbean and Latin America: The St. Regis Aruba Resort; Salterra, a Luxury Collection Resort and Spa, Turks & Caicos; Clevia, San Miguel de Allende, Autograph Collection; the all-inclusive Waves, Autograph Collection, Barbados and the adults-only all-inclusive Paraiso de la Bonita, a Luxury Collection Resort, Riviera Maya and Treasure Beach, Autograph Collection, Barbados.

Notable Openings
Among the newest properties in Marriott’s luxury hotel portfolio — and the Buenos Aires debut of the Tribute Portfolio brand — is Recoleta Grand, Buenos Aires, which opened on June 10, 2025. Located in the historic Recoleta district, the boutique hotel features 142 guestrooms, including six suites, with decor that showcases the city’s portena culture, created by local designer Lucas Gashu.
