Group. She started her career with Northstar as an editorial intern for
PhocusWire, where she first began covering the intersection of travel,
business and technology.
Originally from Chicago, Leyla earned degrees in business
management and journalism before completing her master’s in business and
economic reporting at New York University. After two years in New York, she
moved to Houston, Texas, where she’s now based. Born in Serbia and raised in
the Midwest, her background informs an interest in how culture, business and
travel intersect.
