European cruise operator CroisiEurope Cruises will launch a newly constructed luxury eco-tourism vessel for the Amazon River in 2027, marking the line’s first newbuild since 2020.

The yet-to-be-named riverboat will also be Croisi's first to sail in South America.

Editor’s note: This article will be updated as more details are revealed.

The vibrant, wood-clad vessel will be a four-deck ship measuring 161 feet long and 49 feet wide, accommodating only 32 guests. Among its16 suites will be two presidential suites; all will include private balconies. Local Amazonian arts and crafts will be displayed onboard across a regional restaurant with Brazilian-inspired dishes, a spa, fitness room, a sun deck and a conference room.

“As part of its commitment to protecting and preserving the Amazon, CroisiEurope is implementing the latest eco innovations, including engines that meet the strictest environment standards, an advanced wastewater treatment system and solar panels, which will allow the ship to shut down its generators at night and operate on batteries,” according to the line.

A focus on sustainability will continue onshore with excursions that immerse passengers into local communities, where they will gain knowledge and stories, support local initiatives and protect biodiversity. Such programming, the line says, will encourage guests to be their own “Amazonian ambassadors.”

The vessel will homeport in Manaus, Brazil, and will embark on 12-day itineraries into the Brazilian Amazon along the Amazon River, Rio Negro, Solimoes, Arapiuns and Tapajos toward Colombia.

Several shore extensions will also be available. Bookings will soon open.
